Ch-ch-ch-changes

I've been thinking. I was considering stopping this, and all my other blogs, altogether and deleting them. But then I decided to keep them about. I want to write more on my main one. I MISS writing on my main one. My stories... They can stay up, but it is unlikely to be updated for a long time, if ever. The letters... I'm not sure. I'll keep them up definitely, but I'm not decided about updating it. I don't need to, my one know how I feel about him, though I'm sure he would enjoy me writing more.
And onto the main point. This blog. It is difficult, increasingly so, to find a song every week these past few months. I haven't been listening to music on such a regular basis as I used to.
So.
It shall stay.
But, it shall only be updated whenever a song particularly resonates with me. If it really clicks, then I shall post it. And I shall still be doing a Song of the Year at the very end. Mostly because I have had my song of the year for 2015 decided for a while now.

This game just stabs you right in the heart places! It is beautifully tragic, and the soundtrack is lovely too.

I'll admit, I haven't watched the film yet, but the soundtrack is one of the most beautiful things I have ever listened to.

Explosions In The Sky - What Do You Go Home To? (Mountains Mix)

I know that I've said it before, but I LOVE Explosions In The Sky. They relax me and their music is just so damn amazing! This one, I have been playing a lot recently. It's temporarily filling the restless void inside me that longs to be somewhere else.

Thirty Seconds to Mars - Kings and Queens

It's been a while since I last had a Thirty Seconds to Mars track as a favourite. This one came on earlier in the week and it got me thinking about my writing for the first time in very long while. I think I'm going to pick it up again.

Trevor Morris - The Dawn Will Come

Danny Elfman - Ice Dance

This movie is my favourite, this composer is my favourite, and this song will probably always be the most beautiful piece I have ever heard.

Five Finger Death Punch - Jekyll and Hyde

I finally got the chance to listen to Five Finger Death Punch's latest album this week. As expected, it was filled entirely with aggressive awesomeness. Love, love, LOVE these guys so much. This is the song that stood out for me the most and my current favourite. Perhaps because I've been feeling a lot like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde recently.

We The Kings - Skyway Avenue

Up until this week I hadn't listened to these guys for a while. Honestly, I'm not keen on their newer stuff, but I did love this album when it was first released.

Of Monsters and Men - Human

Sometimes, you just have to let the human in.

Paramore - Ain't It Fun

I don't know why, but this song makes me smile every time I hear it. It has been helping me to get up in the mornings. Thank you Paramore!!

I dunno, I just really love this song at the moment. It reminds me of quite a few books that I hold closely to my heart, and even my own book. Perhaps that's all the reason I need.

We've had quite a few old favourites recently, so how about a new discovery?
I love this woman's voice and the fact that there's a portion of this song where she sounds like she's howling like a wolf only makes me enjoy this song more.

This one is for you grandma. I'm not sure if you would have liked it, but it makes me think of the times we're going through right now. Again, I haven't listened to a great deal of music this week due to ear troubles.
So here is another of my old favourites. I tend to go a while without listening to this one and I forget that it exists until it pops up again and I remember just how much I love it.

Yiruma - Poemusician

I haven't had much chance to listen to music this week due to unfortunate ear circumstances. So, this week is one of my favourites for when I want to relax and chill out. It also has the same feel as how I've been feeling lately.

LiSA - Rising Hope

She has GOT to be my favourite Japanese artist at the moment. Thank you Sword Art Online for introducing me to her!

I love Flyleaf at the moment. Kristen Meer has such a beautiful voice.

Elliot Minor - Parallel Worlds

These guys were one of my favourite bands back in high school. I was constantly singing this song in particular and I have so many good memories attached these guys! I'm going to have to make an effort to catch up with the music they make.

The Ends of the Earth - Brian Tyler - Assassin's Creed Black Flag

This one is a day early, seeing as how I am off out adventuring tomorrow and I'm not sure when or even if I'll have much opportunity to post it so rather than being late I am early for once!!

I've been thinking about the ending to my book this week, trying to figure out how to tie up the loose ends it still has, how to bring a certain amount of closure but also leave it at a point where there are still questions people want answered in the coming sequels. This this of music in particular has the kind of feel that I've got in my mind for the final chapters, it has the atmosphere that I want.

Nightwish - The Islander

I've done some writing this week for the first time in forever, so I've been listening to my writing playlist quite a bit. This one made it in there due to the amount of visual images and ideas that it stirs up in my mind whenever I hear it. I've been listening to it a fair bit so it made it to song of the week. :)

A Day To Remember - Sometimes You're The Hammer, Sometimes You're The Nail

I've been listening to A Day To Remember's newest album this week. They've been one of my favourite bands for a few years now and I've been meaning to give this one a go for ages. This song in particular struck a chord with me. There's a specific verse that speaks to me with all of the things that I'm going through at the moment. I'll leave it below...

Five Finger Death Punch - Dot Your Eyes

I love love love LOVE Five Finger Death Punch. They are one of my all time favourite bands, so it stands to reason they would get listened to often. This one has really stood out to me this week. I had this album on shuffle a few times (awesome album by the way,) and this song in particular was one that had me singing along.

And, for the record, Ivan Moody's voice is sexy as hell. Just saying.

Stars - Winter Bones

Winter definitely lives in my bones.

The Hush Sound - Echo

The Hush Sound has been one of my favourite go to bands when I want something chilled out to listen to for years now. I haven't been particularly well and sticking this song on has made me feel slightly better, if only temporary. This band is one of those whose music I can just sink and escape into.

K.T. Tunstall - Suddenly I See

A day late, but I've been AFK for a while and spending my weekend with my favourite person. Like last week, this is another song that has been coming on my shuffle regularly. It's one of those that makes me smile every time it's on. And also, this woman's voice is amazing.

Paramore - We Are Broken

I've been listening to a lot of Paramore again this week, mainly their first two albums. This one has always been one of my favourites.

We Are The In Crowd - Reflections

This song has come on my shuffle every single time I've put my music on this week. What more reason need there be for it to make it to Song of the Week?

Julie Fowlis - Touch the Sky

First Song of the Week for 2015. This one is from the soundtrack for Brave. It's one of those that I listen to when I feel the need to take a break and feel free from all the burdens around me.
